6 Months

Rocco turns 6 months old today! We thought we'd let him try some food so we opted for some yummy steamed carrots...he hated it! It was hysterical! I guess we'll keep trying so he can get used to the idea of food. He's now almost sitting up without falling over and working on crawling. He's mastered rolling over. And over and over. Who knew this would be so much fun?! :)

Mini Monkey Man- 5 months old!

Every day brings something new as Rocco hits the 5 month mark. He's found his little voice and loves to sing and coo all day. He's having fun rolling all over the place and chewing on anything he can get his little hands on. We recently spent the day strolling around Central Park and he seemed entranced by all the sounds of random street musicians and interesting people to look at. And we mean interesting. (We were in NYC!) He even seemed to enjoy stopping at a pub for a refreshing pause, just like papa...
Rocco's latest trick is sticking his tongue out all the time. Hysterical! We're enjoying having this little guy around so much.

20 Weeks!

Rocco is now 20 weeks old or 4 1/2 months. The 3 of us are having a ball! Matt and I just love having this little guy around. He is now 16 lbs and filling out more all the time. He's very mellow, loves being outside, and is finding his little voice. The only thing he really doesn't like is being in the car. Here are a couple of pictures we took in the last few weeks.

4 Months Old

This Sunday Rocco will be 4 months old! His latest accomplishment as of last night is rolling over! We could see that he was trying so we got out the Flip Video camera and caught it on video...

Rocky Mountain Rocco

What could be better than escaping the 3 H's of a New Jersey summer than a quick trip to Steamboat Springs, Co. for a family visit? Sunny days, cool nights, blue skies, green mountains and no work makes for a happy family. Time with grandparents Jim and Jo and an overdue introduction to GreatGrandma Cookie was in order, as well as time in their hot tub and some good local beers (O'Dell's IPA, YUM!).
We took Rocco to his (and Matt's) first rodeo, his first hike to Fish Creek Falls just outside of town and his first breath of truly fresh air. Maybe it was the altitude, but it seems like Rocco got chubby during the week we were in Colorado.

Just a few days old...

And Then They Were Three...

I was due April 22nd. That day came and went. The next week was the longest week of my life as we waited in anticipation for our son Rocco James to arrive. We went in for a routine ultrasound on Wednesday the 22nd since I was a week late. I knew something wasn't right when the tech said, "Are you sure you're not leaking amniotic fluid?". The Ultrasound showed there was no fluid left except a small patch by our baby's face. This meant it was time to get induced! I was induced that night at 7:00pm. At 7:27am the next morning he arrived. 7lbs 7 oz. 20 1/4". 10 fingers, 10 toes. The sight of perfection in our eyes!
